Snowmaking Has Begun For 2018-'19 Winter Season
It is an exciting time! We are happy to announce snowmaking began last night, Tuesday, November 13th at 7:30PM. As temps allow we will continue to pile-on the snow across the resort, stockpiling the base of snow needed for Snow Trails 58th Season Opening Day.
Thanks to temps dipping and staying below 29 degrees Fahrenheit plus our Cooling Tower providing our Ohio advantage, Snow Trails Snowmaking Crew was able to fire-up our massive snowmaking system to begin stockpiling the needed snow base for Opening Day. Snow Trails winter season is fast approaching, however it is still too early to set Opening Day just yet.
Our Snowmaking Crew has a close eye on the forecast and will continue the campaign for as long and as often as temps allow. For now, the Slopes and Tubing Park are not open. Snow Trails Ski Shop and Guest Services are still holding pre-season hours for your convenience. Stop-by and see the snow, make a few snow angels, grab some new gear in the Shop and get your Season Pass photos taken to beat the Opening Day rush!
Stockpiling the new snow is the best way to last through daytime warm-ups and fluctuations. We know you are excited to get out here for skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing fun real soon! The day cannot come soon enough for us as well. We are excited to get out on the slopes right along with you!!
We'll keep you updated as weather and plans develop.
Stay tuned to SnowTrails.com/Cams to catch snowmaking in action.
