NEWS FROM SNOW TRAILS
For Immediate Release Monday, January 2, 2012
Snow Trails would like to welcome you for a Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the resorts $2,000,000 Improvements and Additions completed for this 2011-’12 Winter season.
Mansfield, OH, Monday, January 2, 2012: Snow Trails will welcome representatives from all facets of media to take part in making history Saturday, January 7, 2012. The “Longest Trail in Ohio” is now located on the west side of Snow Trails Winter Resort, thanks to the addition of Timberline, set in a beautifully serene landscape of timbers, each easily standing one-hundred feet tall. A ribbon cutting will take place at the new Rental Center at Snow Trails, opening the doors to 9,000 square feet of snow sports equipment available to the public for daily rentals. The new Children’s Learning Center, included in the tour, will showcase the all-inclusive Children’s Programs for ages five-to-nine years old in the Polar Bear Program, and three and four year olds in the Polar Cub Program.
New improvements and additions to Snow Trails state-of-the-art snowmaking system will serve as an education into the world of water supply, pump and flow capacity, and required ambient and wet bulb temperature calculations to make snow. A tour of the Snow Trails Snowmaking Pump House and new Cooling Tower, which is the first industrial grade Tower in the Midwest, will be included in the day’s activities.
Dignitaries from the Mansfield area and organizations, along with valued Snow Trails Season Passholders will also be in attendance. Timothy Theaker, Mayor of Mansfield, Ohio, will cut the ribbon with the Snow Trails Management Team, led by Snow Trails President and Owner Dave Carto, and General Manager Scott Crislip, accompanied by Mountain Manager Thad Philpott, and others. Mayor Theaker and Mr. Carto will make first tracks, as they ski down Timberline, leading eager skiers and snowboarders ready to ski the “Longest Trail in Ohio.”
Snow Trails would like to extend an invite to media personnel, involved in story creation, and their families, for participation in the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting for the new Rental Center, Timberline Trail, and Children’s Learning Center, which will begin at 9:00AM Saturday, January 7th, 2011.
